Student Initiatives

Our student programs empower young leaders to take action for a greener future. Whether you’re passionate about advocacy, creativity, or hands-on sustainability projects, there’s an opportunity for you. Join us in making a difference!

Student Green Challenge

Our Student Challenge program is an effort to directly cater to students who are interested in climate action. We strive to provide fun ways for the youth to get involved to try and relieve some of that climate anxiety in wake of the environment they are inheriting. By the Fall of 2024, 141 high school and middle school students were participants in our student challenge. This has made a significant impact in less than a year, saving a total of 278 tons of CO2e, 239,892 gallons of water, and $71,520! Following the conclusion of these challenges, students have the opportunity to win up to $100, as well as recognition at City Hall.
