Nature Hike with Barefood Joel

Follow professional naturalist Barefoot Joel on a guided observational experience along Santiago Creek to a rock pool where turtles and frogs congregate. Ascend into the aromatic shrublands for chances of finding unique wildflowers, pollinators, reptiles and songbirds. We'll stop frequently to observe, appreciate and identify plants and wildlife.
1-3 miles round-trip, depending on interest, pace and capability of the group.
Up to a few hundred feet of elevation gain.
Mix of sun and shade. Multiple creek crossings. Uneven terrain.
Not recommended for those with medical or mobility issues.
Allow 2.5-3 hours depending on the pace of the group.
$5 parking fee.
