Joining a group of Irvine's community volunteers, we participated in the UniHills Repair Cafe!

We had a great time with Irvine’s amazing community volunteers at this year’s UniHills Repair Cafe!

Everyone came ready to lend a hand, fixing clothes and sharpening knives to all sorts of helpful repairs. But it wasn’t just about repairs—this event was also about sustainability! There was no single-use plastic in sight! There were homemade snacks, reusable dishware, and compostable waste gathered.

We were excited to return our worm bin and help folks start their vermicomposting journey. It's incredible to see people excited about turning their organic waste into garden “gold.”

Events like this are a great reminder of what we can do when we come together. Whether you were fixing, learning, or just being with your community, you were already counting down to the next one!
